SuperHomes and Electric
Vehicles - Comparison- menu
SuperHomes and Electric Vehicles share the same technologies that are readily available right now
Electric Vehicles share the same technologies that are used to operate this SuperHome
SuperHomes and Electric Vehicles are provably much more efficient at utilising readily available power
Three Main Types of Electric Vehicles:
1. BEV - BATTERY ELECTRIC VEHICLE:
Fuel: 100% electricity from the grid or photovoltaic solar panels;
2. HEV - HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE:
Fuel: 100% petrol or diesel motor that generates power to charge the batteries;
3. PHEV - PLUG-IN HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE:
Fuel: electricity from the grid or solar system and / or petrol or diesel.
Just like electric vehicles, SuperHomes can be powered by:
100% photovoltaic power supply (solar panels), that charges a battery bank
or a hybrid system of mostly solar electricity; with a back up petrol or diesel generator, for intelligent, adaptive charging, to keep the batteries charged at all times - like this SuperHome
Most of the electricity / power used to run this super-home comes from:
SOLAR POWER: wherein the electricity is stored in a large, recyclable battery bank, that supplies mains power to the whole farm;
GENERATOR: and in times of extended cloudy weather or unusually heavy power usage, supplemental power then comes from a smart eco petrol generator that comes on automatically - only when needed - to intuitively supply power to the whole farm , as well as boost the battery bank at the same time! Much like the PHEV (Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle) as mentioned above.
This is an extremely cost effective system that supplies:
pure sine wave electricity
an uninterrupted power supply
NO blackouts / NO brownouts / NO spikes / NO surges / NO sags / NO dirty electricity etc;
Plus, there are NO power bills and NO line charges;
Plus, you do not need to gift the power company an expensive transformer and new connection costs.
Keep in mind that this SuperHome can EASILY be connected to the grid, which happens to run right past the property. There are many options, such as:
Remain 'stand alone' / energy independent (off grid), and pay no power bills and no line charges;
or be 'grid tied' and HAVE BATTERIES; and use your solar power to charge the battery bank during the day; and supply all excess power to the grid; and if necessary, buy your power back at night - at a much higher rate;
or be 'grid tied' and have NO BATTERIES; and supply all your excess power to the grid during the day; and then buy your power back at night - at a much higher rate;
or bypass the solar system and be 100% grid tied / reliant, and pay the power bills and line charges, like most other people do;
there are several other options available as well.
